Police are hunting a very angry looking man after a female cyclist was pushed into the path of traffic in Whitechapel, east London.
The woman in her early 40s was assaulted in Sidney Street, off Whitechapel Road, around 6pm on May 1.
She had turned onto Sidney Street when she passed a man who was about to cross the road.
She politely asked him not to cross until she had cycled past, but the man swore at her and chased her down the street.
As she slowed down near a road junction, the man shouted at her and then pushed her off her bike into the path of passing traffic.
Luckily the woman was not hit by any vehicles.
While “very upset” by the incident, she did not require medical treatment.
She contacted police and downloaded footage of the incident recorded on her helmet camera.
The man is believed to be in his 40s and was wearing dark clothing.

A man has handed himself in to police in Britain after investigators released a video of a cyclist being pushed off her bike.
The 33-year-old suspect, who has not been named, attended Bethnal Green Police Station in east London yesterday afternoon, and identified himself as the man in the video, Metropolitan Police said.
The man has not been arrested but will be interviewed by police, a police spokesman said.

Initially, he was clearly only crossing the road, wasn't that close to her and didn't seem to have any intention of doing anything, so to give him the finger is out of order. Having said that, no excuse at all for the way he reacted. You can't assault a woman, full stop. Or at least it would take a lot to justify, e.g. she's threatening to shoot you or something similarly ridiculous. Obviously in this case it was nowhere near that kind of territory. The guy is just a bit of a cunt really.

Interesting that the general consensus on a man assaulting a woman is a BIG NO-NO, but as soon as she gets on a bicycle the bitch has it coming.

But...in this case
If the lady cycling wants to pipe up and potentially start a confrontation, then she deserves what's coming to her
The right thing to do was slow down and let the chap cross the road, right ?
